Meet Our Staff

Jake Nicholson became part of the Ryan team in March 2025 as a Sales Manager, bringing with him two decades of experience in the automotive industry. Since beginning his career in 2005, Jake has held leadership roles in sales management and is known for his strong work ethic, industry knowledge, and dedication to delivering exceptional customer service. Outside of work, Jake is a proud father of two and enjoys supporting his kids in their many activities, including football, track, wrestling, and volleyball. He’s also an avid motorcycle enthusiast and loves spending time on his Harley Davidson or relaxing at the lake whenever he gets the chance.

Steve Schiller joined the Ryan Auto Mall CDJR Monticello team as a Sales Manager, bringing a well-rounded background in automotive, customer service, and leadership. He entered the auto industry in 2017, beginning as a salesperson at a Ford dealership in Duluth. Since then, Steve has gained valuable experience across departments—working in sales, service as an advisor, and most recently as a finance manager. Prior to his automotive career, Steve served as an Army Combat Medic and also worked in residential construction and personal training—experiences that have shaped his driven, people-focused approach to leadership. Originally from Esko, MN, Steve now lives in Delano with his wife, daughter, and their golden retriever. Outside the dealership, Steve enjoys weightlifting, motorsports, and extreme sports, as well as spending quality time with family. Whether it’s on the showroom floor or out on the trail, Steve brings energy, focus, and a commitment to getting the job done right.

David joined our team in September 2024, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the automotive industry. With a background in retail management, David has honed his skills in customer service and sales. In recent years, he has dedicated himself to the world of pre-owned vehicles, working as a dedicated car buyer for the past five years. As a member of our team, David is responsible for acquiring pre-owned vehicles from various sources, ensuring that our dealership group offers a diverse and high-quality selection. When he's not busy curating our inventory, David enjoys staying active through workouts, exploring investment opportunities, and spending quality time with friends and family. A passionate traveler, David also loves hitting the open road on exciting road trips.

Brandon joined our Ryan team in 2020 following a long and established career in the Automotive industry selling Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram products. Living with his wife of 18 years and four children in Zimmerman, there is nothing Brandon likes to do more away from the dealership than go fishing and boating on the lake with his family and taking their long vacations in Florida every year.

I have lived in the Saint Michael/Albertville area since 1996. After many years in sales & raising 4 kids; I decided it was time to follow a dream get in the auto business, something that had always interested me. After 6 years selling Ford and Chrysler In Elk River, the Ryan family offered me the opportunity to come and join the team in opening up the all-new Ryan Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Monticello. This is allowing me to grow my reach and ability to help a broad base of clients while using technology and tenure to bring your experience to the next level, while still giving my clients the small-town feel. When I'm not at the dealer, I'm spending time finding new roads on the Harley. My wife and I also have our hands full raising our nine-month old German Shepherd, Morgan. She brings lots of excitement to our life from some really great things to a chewed-up shoe once in a while.

Steve Holten joined the Ryan Auto Mall CDJR Monticello team after several years in automotive sales at a Twin Cities Ford dealership. With experience dating back to 2019, Steve made the move not only to be closer to home in Silver Creek, MN, but also to spend more time with his growing family and become even more rooted in the community he loves. Steve lives with his wife, Amanda, a dedicated local high school teacher of 10 years, and their two children—with a third on the way. His decision to cut down on commuting reflects his deep commitment to family, faith, and being present in the moments that matter most. Known for his loyalty and honesty, Steve approaches each customer interaction with care and integrity. He wants every customer to know that he’s always available to answer questions and help meet their needs—before, during, and after the sale. For Steve, it’s not just about selling vehicles—it’s about building trust and relationships that last.

CJ McCrary joined Ryan Auto Mall CDJR Monticello in February 2026, bringing a strong and diverse automotive background. Originally from St. Paul, MN, he began his career in carpentry before entering the auto industry in 2009. CJ has worked in detailing, spent over four years in sales, and later became a heavy line technician specializing in European vehicles. He also spent a year in New York City working on a special European wagon build before continuing his construction career as a Union Journeyman Laborer. Now living in Zimmerman, CJ is excited to be back in automotive sales helping customers find the right vehicle. Outside of work, he enjoys weight training, contact sports, traveling, social time with friends, and is passionate about performance cars, racing, and drifting.

Nate Wallin joined our Ryan team as a Sales Consultant in November 2024, bringing over a decade of experience in the automotive industry. With an extensive background in Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, and Jeep vehicles, Nate adds valuable expertise to our team. After relocating to Monticello to escape the daily commute to the Twin Cities, Nate embraced the opportunity to work closer to home and contribute to our community-focused dealership. His dedication to providing exceptional service and helping customers find the perfect vehicle makes him a standout member of our team. When he's not at the dealership, Nate enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, exploring the North Shore, hiking, fishing, or hitting the golf course. His passion for family, the outdoors, and helping others makes Nate a perfect fit for the Ryan team.

Dave joined the Ryan team in 2020, bringing with him 15 years of experience in the automotive industry. Living conveniently just up the road here in Monticello. Away from the office, when not busying himself with DIY projects, he enjoys spending time with his wife and grown family on their pontoon on the lake.

Tim came to us in 2019 with 18 years of automotive experience, 13 of which were with the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram brands. He is a huge Mopar fan and drives a Dodge Challenger. Away from the office it's the lake that calls his name. Tim just loves all types of fishing and being on his pontoon.

I have worked in the Automotive Industry for 25 years. I love to spend time with my wife and 3 kids. I am involved in youth sports as a coach and board member of our traveling basketball association. When I'm away from work I enjoy spending time at our cabin, golfing, and boating.

Heather joined our Ryan service team in 2020 with 17 years of experience in the automotive industry. Living in Sauk Rapids, away from work Heather describes herself as an avid auto enthusiast who enjoys everything outdoors, including hiking, walking her dog and spending time with your young son.

Hannah joined our Ryan team in 2020 from previous careers in both the agricultural and healthcare industries. She loves helping people and has since worked in service at both our GM and CDJR locations. Away from the service drive Hannah enjoys being in the great outdoors either fishing, at rodeos or the occasional demolition derby.

Brad has been in the Automotive industry since 1989 and with our Ryan Collision Center since 2005. Brad lives in Maple Lake and enjoys his family's many activities including softball, dance and motocross competitions and cross country. He loves the outdoors, camping, boating and snowmobiling. Busy guy!

Mike has been in the Automotive business since 2000 and with the Ryan Collision Center since 2009. He lives in Buffalo and, after work, enjoys watching his three daughters play soccer or joining friends for a round of golf or to watch the Vikings.

Anna joined our Ryan team in 2022 from previous careers in cosmetology and design. She keeps the collision center team organized during the day and enjoys swimming, painting and remodelling in her spare time.

In 1955, my father, Robert Ryan Sr. opened his own used vehicle agency in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, operating as Mid Town Motors. In 1965 he was awarded the Rambler and Mercedes Benz franchises and ultimately was able to obtain the Chrysler & Plymouth franchises. In 1966, my dad opened Ryan Motors in Sioux Falls, South Dakota operating as Ryan Motors Chrysler Plymouth. He was awarded Chrysler's "Pacemakers Top 100 Club Award" from Chrysler for multiple years. In 1971, the Ryan family moved to Texas after selling their automobile interests to Henry and David Billion. David and his son are still in business today. We then moved to Houston and operated Midtown Chrysler Plymouth for one year until Katy Road Chrysler Plymouth, Chrysler's flagship facility opened. In 1975, the Ryan family sold out to the Benson family and returned to the Midwest, where most of the 14 children, 22 grandchildren and four great grandchildren reside today. Fifty years later, the Ryan family proudly opened another Chrysler flagship designed facility, for the franchises of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram truck in Buffalo, MN and then soon after, another CDJR dealership in Monticello, MN. Rob is the third generation Ryan to be in the automotive business and our GM for both GM and Chrysler stores. Married with three children, Rob is actively involved with their activities and volunteers much of his other time away from work to many local charitable organizations and events.

Pat, with the last name Ryan, has, of course been in the business since childhood, joining in with the operations side of the family business in 1996. He is a family man and he and his wife have two wonderful daughters and a young son. Away from the office he loves to spend time boating, playing golf and target shooting.

Kristy joined us in August of 2021 as the Controller for the Ryan group of dealerships. Kristy has been in the automotive industry since 1999 and so brought with her a wealth of experience to the Ryan team. Living in Monticello, she enjoys her time away from the office travelling, or at the lake with her family and her dogs.

Marc has been involved with the Automotive industry his whole life and with the Ryan family of dealerships since 1985. Away from the dealership he likes to relax on the lake with his family or enjoy a round of golf.

Ryan Auto Mall is excited to announce the addition of Dan to our team as Pre-Owned Vehicle Director. Dan brings a wealth of experience to the role, having worked in the automotive industry since 1996. In his new position, Dan will oversee all aspects of our pre-owned vehicle operations, including sales, inventory management, and customer service. With his extensive knowledge and leadership skills, Dan will be instrumental in driving our pre-owned vehicle sales and ensuring a positive experience for our customers. He will also be responsible for managing the sales managers at our three dealerships, providing guidance and support. Outside of work, Dan is passionate about fishing and enjoying the great Minnesota outdoors.

Dermott has been in the automotive industry since 1994 and with Ryan since 2009. Originally from England, Dermott now lives in Minnetonka and is married with four daughters. He is also the proud grandparent of three wonderful granddaughters. He enjoys working in a family environment as that is his focus away from the office.
